GKI Kung Fu DX Vs GKI Offensive XX: Similarities & Differences
Blade
Both rackets have wooden blades. Kung Fu DXโs blade is slightly thicker than the Offensive XX. Thatโs why it is relatively heavier. The inner core of the Offensive XXโs blade is stiffer than the Kung Fu DX.
Though both have the same flared (FL) grip, the handle of the Kung Fu DX is slightly enlarged towards the end which I found more convenient to grip.
Rubber
The rubbers pasted in both rackets are soft and medium thick (2.0 mm). The combination is the same, i.e. black and red. The chemistry is the same for both except for the sponge color. GKI Offensive XX has an orange sponge whereas the Kung Fu DXโs sponge is light blue.
Performance
The Offensive XX doesnโt justify its name. Itโs not at all an offensive racket. When I hit a ball, the bat does not support the punch, expected from an offensive racket. I have to give my own effort to get the speed from the racket. Though the speed is moderate, the control is excellent.ย
Kung Fu DX also offers excellent control but lacks speed. Whereas the Offensive XX is an all-rounder, the Kung Fu DX is more a defensive racket than an all-rounder.
The soft rubbers can deliver good spin, especially in soft strokes like serving or pushing.
